A case of the most charming of Radio 4 fails earlier on today when adorable @kathyclugston made an apology for the wrong edition of the Now Show being played out during the repeat slot on Saturdays.

Don’t anyone think it’s hugely embarrassing. It’s not. Don’t anyone consider logging a complaint.

It’s one of those adorable reminders that little errors happen. It makes the BBC seem a bit more normal. It reminds me that not everything is automated and that people do have to go into work over the weekends. Of course, if the same thing happened with the Today programme then I’d be a little worried.

What listeners would have heard if the right tape had been slotted in was a good sequence from The Now Show bunch about plans to close down BBC 6 Music.
